Who we are

PT2C is operated by Sebastian Somogyi, trading as a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law, I am the data controller for personal data processed through PT2C. You can contact me at softwaredeveloper.k1w1@gmail.com for anything relating to this policy or your data.

What data we collect

PT2C is used by personal trainers ("PTs") to manage their clients, and by those clients to view programmes and log progress. What we collect depends on which of these you are:

If you're a PT: your name, email address, and password (or Google account, if you sign in that way), business details you add during onboarding, and your subscription/billing status.

If you're a client of a PT: your name and email address, training goals and notes your PT adds, scheduled and completed session data, logged sets/reps/weights, and anything you submit in a weekly check-in — including your weight, energy rating, adherence percentage, written notes, and an optional progress photo.

We do not collect payment card details ourselves — those are handled directly by Stripe, our payment processor. We only store a reference ID linking your account to your Stripe customer/subscription record.

How we use it

We use this data to provide the service: creating your account, running the PT–client relationship features (programmes, sessions, check-ins, notifications), processing subscription payments, and sending service emails (invites, reminders, replies). This is necessary to perform our contract with you.

We may also use it for legitimate interests such as keeping the service secure, diagnosing bugs, and understanding how features are used — we do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of third-party services ("subprocessors") to run PT2C, each of which only receives the data it needs to perform its function:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (e.g. check-in photos).
  • Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
  • Resend — sending transactional emails (invites, notifications).

We don't share your data with anyone else, and we don't sell it. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK/EEA (for example, in the US); where that happens, they do so under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, or a PT removes a client from their roster, we delete or anonymise the associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to keep records for legal or tax reasons (e.g. billing history).

Cookies

PT2C only uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in — we don't currently use any analytics, tracking, or advertising cookies.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict how it's used. To exercise any of these, email softwaredeveloper.k1w1@gmail.com. If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your data, you can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

PT2C is not intended for anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know via the app or by email.
